Eagles were made to fly

What am I made to do and what am I waiting for? Do eagles have to be told what they are made to do, or do they just do it? Just become? Why are we the only creatures that resist doing what we were created to do? 

Sometimes our ability to think gets the best of us. We no longer operate in our primary function or purpose, instead, we think we know best. I guess this results from eating from the Tree of good and evil. We think we know-it-all but we really don't. We sometimes take a lifetime to unlearn everything we think we know.

It is through our own unlearning that we are able to fly—to soar. We are crippled by what we think we know but once we give it over to God we are able to be who we were created to be. We will stop trying to fit a peg into a square. We will be comfortable with our uniqueness. Imagine an eagle yearning to be a hummingbird. What a waste of time ---what a waste of purpose.

In God’s eyes, we are all beautiful and a piece of a greater masterpiece. He sees beauty and purpose in each and every one of us. He sees beauty in the hummingbird and the eagle. They are equally important to him because he remembers the stroke of his paintbrush as he created each one. 

We should aim to see ourselves the way God sees us. We would understand our need for Him but also His love for us. Doubt and fear would have to exit because where God is there is love, abundance, peace, and truth. Truth and doubt are enemies. Fear and love are enemies. 

Aim to see God. To see the world through his eyes. To fall on your knees in deep repentance because we understand how broken we really are. I don't think we would be able to handle the emotion that God feels when he looks at this fallen world. It would crush us. 

So soar. Be. Love hard. Do the things God is telling you to do. Be who you are created to be, even if to your feeble mind it doesn't make sense. The eagle innately knows how to be an eagle. An eagle is born with everything it needs to function as an eagle. You are born with everything you need to function as you. So be you. Soar 🦅
